FinCapital Angels: FIN Capital is Iowa’s female angel investor network. Based in Des Moines, FIN Capital invests between $50,000 and $100,000 in early-stage companies, with preference to Midwest companies. The organization leverages its member’s backgrounds and expertise to vet deals across all industries, though FIN’s primarily invests in companies focused on: insurance, agriculture, and medical and health technology.
Hyde Park Angels: Provides strategic advice and coaching as well as capital. We also connect our companies with our industry partners and sponsors, which provide valuable insight, expertise, and support.
Iowa Seed Fund II: invests $100,000 to $250,000 for a minority ownership position in seed-stage / growth-stage opportunities.
Plains Angels: The Plains Angels are a group of Midwest angel investors dedicated to providing outstanding financial returns to accreted angel investors while assisting early-stage growth companies by being an excellent source of funding and advice.
Stone Arch Capital: Stone Arch Capital is a Minneapolis based private equity firm focused on making control equity investments in leading private businesses, across a wide range of industries. Located in the heart of the Midwest, Stone Arch Capital primarily focuses on businesses headquartered in the Midwestern United States and attractive industry build-ups across the United States where we find business owners and management teams that share our core values of honesty, trust, integrity, collaboration and hard work.
Wellmark Venture Capital and Economic Development Program: Wellmark participates in later round funding of Iowa startup companies to help develop technology and bring products to market. Investment is $100,00 to $500,000 per deal. Subsequent investments in the same company may be considered for up to $1.5 million total per company. Wellmark does not act as a lead investor and would expect other institutional participants to take investment positions with the company.
